With Sincere Appreciation

A Celebration Made Possible by Many

Every memorable celebration is the result of countless acts of generosity, kindness, and support. While guests experienced a joyful weekend filled with laughter, music, memories, and fellowship, much of what made it possible happened quietly behind the scenes.

This page is dedicated to the many individuals, families, businesses, volunteers, and community partners whose time, talents, and generosity helped bring the Double Diamond celebration to life. Every contribution—large or small, visible or unseen—played a part in creating a weekend that will be remembered for years to come.

Guy Community Hall

Guy, Alberta

The hall management team's flexibility, responsiveness, and willingness to assist whenever needed helped ensure everything came together smoothly.

Behind the Scenes

Quiet Contributions That Made a Difference

Every successful celebration depends on people who quietly step forward to help wherever they are needed.

Whether welcoming guests, keeping the program moving, preparing refreshments, serving beverages, creating the celebration cake, setting up tables and displays, operating equipment, cleaning up afterward, or taking care of the countless details throughout the weekend, your generosity helped make this event enjoyable for everyone.

Many of these contributions happened without fanfare and often went unnoticed by those attending, but they were essential to the success of the celebration.

To everyone who volunteered their time, talents, energy, and support, please accept our heartfelt thanks. Your willingness to help made all the difference.

A heartfelt thank you goes to all of our grandchildren, whose enthusiasm and willingness to help made the preparations both easier and more enjoyable.

Every winning team has an unsung hero—the person who is ready to step in whenever called upon and do whatever is needed to help the team succeed. Tyler was that person for us. Wherever an extra pair of hands was needed, he made himself available, quietly helping to keep everything moving forward.

Decorating the Hall

Transforming the Space

Transforming the Guy Community Hall into such a beautiful setting required creativity, planning, teamwork, and many willing hands. From unloading vehicles and arranging tables to hanging decorations, placing centrepieces, adjusting lighting, and adding the countless finishing touches, every contribution helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere worthy of such a special family milestone.

Particular recognition goes to Kaitlyn, whose vision, creativity, and eye for detail helped shape the overall design and atmosphere of the hall. Her inspiration provided the foundation that brought everything together and transformed the space into something truly memorable.

Along with recognizing Kaitlyn's vision and creativity, we also want to thank the decorating team as a whole. Every person who contributed ideas, materials, time, effort, and encouragement played an important part in creating a setting our family will always remember.

Planning & Preparation

The Work Before the Celebration

The celebration began long before the first guests arrived. Photographs were gathered, stories were shared, invitations were distributed, schedules coordinated, presentations prepared, equipment tested, supplies purchased, meals planned, and countless small details organized behind the scenes.

Much of this work was never seen by our guests, yet it formed the foundation for everything that followed.

To every family member and friend who answered questions, made phone calls, solved unexpected problems, offered ideas, ran errands, or simply asked, “What can I do to help?”—thank you. Your support allowed everyone to relax and enjoy the weekend together.

Family & Friends

A Final Word

The greatest gift of the weekend was not found in the decorations, the music, or even the wonderful meal. It was the opportunity to spend time with family and friends, reconnect with people we had not seen in years, share stories and laughter, revisit treasured memories, and create a few new ones along the way.

Your presence meant more than words can express. Whether you travelled near or far to celebrate with us in Guy, shared your good wishes from afar, or are reliving the weekend through these pages, thank you for being part of this milestone in our lives. To those who were unable to make the journey, we hope this archive brings you a little closer to the memories we created together. You were missed, you were in our thoughts throughout the weekend, and your love and friendship were felt just the same. Together, you helped make the Double Diamond celebration everything we had hoped it would be.

We are sincerely grateful for every contribution, every helping hand, every kind word, and every shared memory.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Claudette & John Colette & Neil
